Five Vicodin Chased With A Shot Of Clarity

props to anyone who knows what the topic title comes from

so i had surgery yesterday finally
i got in there and waited in the lobby for 5 mins before they took me back
my dad wasn't allowed back with me at that point
they took my blood pressure and temp
then they put my IV in
finally my dad was allowed to come back and sit with me
i tried doing some sudoku but my mind wasn't there
doctors came in about 10:30 to talk with me
my friend sami came to visit before work seeing how she worked across the hall
my dad was sitting there taking lots of pictures of me in my gown in bed
then at like 11 they took me back to the operating room
i was nervous going to the place
and then the nurse broke everything down and i was fine
but once i got in that operating room i was nervous again
they were strapping me in and stuff
put this mask on me that smelled like a beach ball
and then i look up and see him squeezing this bag that was hooked to my IV
and i started to feel real funny and my eyes got heavier and heavier
i hear them singing me to sleep
saying "nighty night and good night"
and everyone kept saying good night and next thing i know
i'm waking up and the sleepy man doctor said "ok hookah girl"
and that was funny because i had just had a dream about hookah
and i told him and he said that was funny
so i kept complaining that i had to pee when i woke up
and she asked me if i wanted a bed pan
finally after about 15 mins of waking up the nurse took me to the bath room
she helped me pull my undies down lol
i didn't even ask for her help
i pulled them up on my own and even washed my hands without her
so after that she wheeled me to this recliner
they let my dad and ryan come back to see me
they gave me ginger ale and saltine crackers to eat and drink
and shortly after i was home
i came home and passed the fuck out
i woke up a few times when ryan was icing my knee or taking it off
he's been my good lil nurse boy :)
poor boy got worked, i sent him to the store two different times for ice cream
and then movies
but i'm okay and made it out alright
i'm more so sore today than i was yesterday
but that's probably because my knee was numbed yesterday and today it isn't
it's all gonna be uphill from here hopefully
