Yes.. normally the multi-hose hookahs come with rubber stoppers for plugging the other holes.
IF yours did not come with one then you can always hold the other hose closed with your thumb (which is very awkward)

Another solution that works well is: if you have a plastic wine cork somewhere, they NORMALLY will fit to stop up the exposed hole.....

It also could depend what kind of hookah it is. Many have auto seal valves that you don't need to plug at all. My Mya is a 4 hose and I smoke it with all 4 empty except for the one I use and it doesn't affect the pull or anything.

but yeah otherwise you need to plug the socket, i am guessing since you posted it is a problem.

yea i have a 3 hose w/ auto-seals, blow into the hose, if air escapes you need to find something for the other hole

I have some friends that manage to fix theire own valve by just putting a smal metal ball in to the hookahs hose conectors before conecting the hose. the ball was just big egnough to stay in there and light egnough that it would lift when sucking from the hose...

Just looked at it, it appears it comes with a built-in valve and stopers. So thats good, i didnt get a crappy one lol.

i have a 2 hose hookah and when i smoke alone i just stuff a prismacolor marker in the other hose port. lol

what type of hookah did you buy? when me and my boyfriend got our 2 hose, it came with an auto-sealer for the 2nd hose.. ours is a mya.. also a lil trick we picked up from our friend's 2 hose that doesn't have the auto-sealer is, do you know those mouth condoms they have for the hoses? the end that you put your mouth on, burn it with a lighter to close the hole and plug that in your hookah.. works like a charm..

Just some tape over the hole works if you don't have an autoseal, but since you do have it, you have nothing to worry about.
