My friend Derek and I lit the Staff up yesterday evening for a nice cooldown from the day's stresses and heat (avg. 102*F in Oklahoma lately). We smoked some Romman Strawberry tobacco through Peach Nehi, for a nice fruity smoke. I have to say that I'm still getting used to having as large a hookah as this. I'm more accustomed to smaller hookah, so it took me a little while to get it rolling well (found out that 2 coals did the trick!) The smoke was nice and thick once we got it going really well, and with all of the ice and cold Nehi in the vase, the smoke was nice and cool. I'm most definitely sticking with Mya in the future. I can't speak enough on the high quality of this work of art! When setting the hookah up I did a leak test and the pipe was completely airtight!
I bought the Staff from Hookah-Shisha.com and received a smaller acrylic hookah for free on clearance. The small hookah is just as wellmade as my Staff, and the only thing I didn't really like was the acrylic base. it was so light compared to the stem (which was solid polished/chromed brass!) that it seemed to be really top heavy, but I think it'll be less of an issue with water in the base. My brother is moving halfway across the country for college so I decided to give it to him for a grad gift. He loves it =]
