Contest: HookahDomain YouTube Commercial
So what's this all about?
This is a very simply contest - create a YouTube video commercial for HookahDomain. You can be as fun, creative, unique or as crazy as you want! We're trying to take HookahDomain to the next level, and feel that a powerful message representing our community can help take us there! The contest starts today (Oct 31) and will run until November 30th 2008.
What can I win?
One first place winner will receive one (1) HookahDomain T-Shirt (choice of style and size), one (1) Mya Saray Bambino Hookah or one (1) Mya Saray QT Hookah, (2) boxes of CocoNara Charcoal and several boxes/cans of tobacco to boot! The winning submission will also be used as the official first HookahDomain commercial and your submission will be announced via the features and broadcast emails to all HD members! There may be runner up gifts available as well.
Okay, so what are the rules?
Your video must be soley devoted to promoting HookahDomain.com and the benefits of becoming an HD member. Your video must be uploaded to both YouTube and HookahDomain. Your commercial must feature "HookahDomain" in both voice and text (HookahDomain logo preferred). Your commercial must be at least :59 seconds in length and no longer than 10 minutes. Watch your language - naughty language submissions will be disqualified. Production value is a plus - low quality videos will be disqualified - so do your best and take your time!
How will the winning video be selected?
Several factors will judge the winning commercial including (but not limited to): YouTube/HookahDomain Views; Comments; Ratings and community feedback, as well as HookahDomain staff pick. Creativity, production value, music selection, art, original work, etc will also be accounted.
I don't know where to start - any ideas?
You could interview people in your area about joining HookahDomain, film yourself promoting HookahDomain to the world, a collage video, a basic commercial with a catchy slogan, explain what HookahDomain means to you (and friends), create a music video and HD theme song, etc. Use your imagination and be creative! Also, feel free to make your video funny or serious - a popular YouTube video (viral) could really put you in the lead - so be sure to take advantage of MySpace, Digg, Facebook, StumbleUpon, etc to share your video with all your friends - get all the views/ratings/comments you can!

Sorry - that was meant to be corrected. It since has been. The minimum length should be at least :59 seconds. Also, living in New Zealand should not be a problem if your video is worthy!

Just being serious, if you see a two minute add on tv its couted as being a very long add, and 2 inutes being the bare minimum I think is harsh. 30 seconds is enough time to get the point across to the audience and is enough time to make something effective. This is coming from a filmaker. Hope I can still enter tho :D
